Texas Education Code

HB 944

House Bill 944 ensures that homeschool graduates are treated equally to public school graduates in Texas. This means your TAHS diploma carries the same weight as a traditional diploma.

The Leeper Decision

The landmark Leeper v. Arlington ISD case (1994) established that homeschool programs in Texas are private schools. This court decision confirmed the constitutional right to homeschool in Texas without state oversight.
